Family Self-Sufficiency (FSS)
FSS is a voluntary program that helps families improve their
economic situations. It is available to residents of HACSA’s
public housing units and HACSA’s Section 8 Program.
Resident Programs
Through
grants and community partnerships, HACSA sponsors a number of programs
available to eligible residents at no cost.
Tenant Advisory Group (TAG)
The TAG comprises resident-elected representatives from each
of the public and assisted housing projects, and meets as a body
every month with HACSA staff to review and discuss pertinent
issues.
The TAG assures housing resident involvement in
all matters affecting their living environments, including the Drug
Elimination and Resident Opportunities and Supportive Services grants and modernization improvements through the
Capital Fund.
Resident Meetings
Residents at most of the HACSA-owned complexes meet regularly to
discuss community issues such as neighborhood safety and proposed
building improvements. Many complexes are also involved in
community efforts such as potlucks, craft sales, and holiday
celebrations.
