How to apply for our different housing programs.
NOTICE:
The Section 8 waiting list closed on Monday, April 15, 2013 at 4:00 PM for persons to submit applications to participate in a lottery where 1,000 names will be selected to be placed on the waiting list.
Now that the list is closed, all applications submitted from April 8, 2013 through April 15, 2013, will be included in a random, computerized lottery program that will select 1,000 names. All people who applied during this period will receive a letter in the mail stating whether they were selected for the waiting list or not.
If you were selected for the Section 8 waiting list, the letter will also note your lottery number, or place on the list. Please remember to keep your mailing address up to date by calling 541-682-3755, as we will contact all persons my mail when they reach the top of the list.
For Public and Multi-Family Housing programs where the tenants’ rents are based upon their income, please download the Pre-Application for Housing Assistance from the link below. The application is a fillable PDF form which must be printed and faxed or mailed to our office. Village Oaks, located on West 18th Avenue near Bailey Hill Road in Eugene, offers one, two and three-bedroom units. Applicants must have at least twice the rent in monthly income. Visit the Village Oaks page for more information about these affordable apartments.
Firwood Apartments, located on the 2100 block in Eugene, offers mostly one-bedroom units and a few two-bedroom units. Applicants must have at least twice the rent in monthly income. For more information on Firwood rents and to find an application, please visit the Firwood Apartments page.
