HACSA does not provide emergency shelter or short-term assistance with rent. The following is a partial list of resources to assist with these issues and other housing related topics.

Housing and Rental Assistance

Catholic Community Services: Provides housing support to individuals and families who are homeless through Emergency Shelter and various rental assistance programs as funding is available.

Community Sharing: the basic needs safety net for South Lane County, located in Cottage Grove. Provides a variety of social services as well as rental assistance programs.

Salvation Army: Depending on funding, can help with one time rental help. Call for more information.

Shelter Care: Serves families who are homeless or at risk of homelessness and adults who have a mental illness or a brain injury. They can provide Emergency Shelter, Transitional Housing Programs, and Long Term Supported Housing. 541.686.1262

Siuslaw Outreach Services: Provides social services including rent assistance in the Florence area.

St. Vincent de Paul: Offers a variety of services including day shelters for homeless families, First Place Family Center, and for single adults, Social Service Center; seasonal night shelter, Egan Warming Centers; and Overnight Parking Program, a parking program homeless persons living in vehicles.

Womenspace: Provides emergency shelter and support for women and children impacted by Domestic Violence.

Home Owner Rehabilitation Loan Program, Rental Rehabilitation Loan Program, and Home Buyer Assistance Program.

City of Springfield Housing Programs: Services include Emergency Home Repair, Springfield Home Ownership Program, Springfield Home Improvement Program, and  CHORE Home Maintenance Assistance.

Lane County Legal Services: Provides legal assistance to low-income persons in Lane County.

Lane County Listing of Affordable Housing: Provides pictures and descriptions of many of the affordable housing units in Lane County.

U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD): Home Page - Oversees home ownership, low-income housing assistance, fair housing laws, homelessness, aid for distressed neighborhoods, and housing development. Has resources for all of the above as well as a newsletter of resources for renters.
