Firwood Apartments
Firwood Apartments, located on the 2100 block of West 12th in Eugene, offers an exceptional value for people who are on a fixed income, going to school or working. The rent for a one-bedroom unit is $440. The rent for a two-bedroom is $510. Applicants must show they have monthly income of at least twice the rent, and their household income must be within the low-income guidelines.
Firwood is within easy biking distance of the University of Oregon, a block from the LTD bus stop, and close to the businesses and services of West 11th Avenue and the surrounding area. This complex of 90, mostly one-bedroom units, is exceptionally quiet for its size. On-site laundry facilities, well-maintained units, and responsible management make Firwood an enjoyable and safe place to live.
Move-in costs include a $440 to $510 deposit, and the first month’s prorated rent. Residents may have a cat or a small dog with an approved pet application and a $150 refundable pet deposit.
Full-time Lane Community College students are given a preference at Firwood. First-time renters are encouraged to apply by providing alternative references as described in the ABC Letter.
Who Qualifies for Firwood?
Applicants must meet the Income Guidelines and must provide proof of household income at twice the monthly rent. Applicants must also pass civil and criminal background checks. We will contact previous landlords to see if applicants are good renters. Applicants who have no rental history or who have not rented recently can provide alternative references as detailed in the ABC Letter. If an applicant is denied because of criminal issues or poor landlord references, the applicant will have the right to an informal discussion regarding his or her eligibility.

When filling out the application, please be sure to provide at least three years of residential history along with the names and FAX numbers of your landlords.
