Despite difficult economic times, HACSA continues to seek creative ways to expand the affordable housing availability and energy services throughout Lane County. We aspire to serve HACSA clients and neighboring citizens with the highest degree of professional courtesy, empathy and respect. We endeavor to provide opportunities for program participants that will nurture their self-reliance and economic independence. The Family Self-Sufficiency and Homeownership programs are examples of such opportunities.
We take pride in our many partnerships with local non-profits. We have acquired, developed and rehabilitated housing operated by Sponsors, Inc and ShelterCare. We are on track to jointly develop an affordable housing project with St.Vincent de Paul and we have an agreement with NEDCO to make loans to cover security deposits for HACSA residents.
I have been employed by HACSA for 32 years; first as Finance Director, then Deputy Director and now as Executive Director. I continue to be impressed with our staff’s hard work, professionalism and commitment to serve the low-income residents of Lane County.
